| WHAT’S FOR DINNER | |
|
"What’s for Dinner" was a film I shot directed by Bruce
"Bishop" Gassin, a San Francisco Academy of Arts film student. The shoot
was out in Petaluma and took place on March 7, 1999. I played Cindy… and
fresh off shooting my PSA (Public Service Announcement) on Domestic Violence
(you can find details and pictures under the "Commercials" section of
the website)… the daughter of two bickering, fighting (violent? psychotic?)
parents played by fellow actors Dave and Jen…

It was a lot of fun and my Dad and I got along great with
everybody… the lower left picture shows Bishop the Director and the lower
right picture shows (from left to right) my "parents" Jen and Dave, along
with Chris, who helped Bishop out with the shoot and provided his house
for the filming along with entertainment (Star Wars on Nintendo 64!!!)…

I got to play with Barbies in the script but… without
giving out too much details, well, let’s just say all the hurt, anxiety
and frustration I feel about my dueling parents gets taken out on Barbie
and Ken (sorry Frankie…)… plus the film has a surprise ending that moves
it from a drama into sort of sci-fi/thriller (my first slasher movie???)…
there were some other parts that they didn’t want to film until after
I left… hmmm, anyway, I’ll let you know when I get a copy of the tape
how it all came out… I can’t wait to find out either…
